About Natick, MA

Natick, MA, is located just minutes from the great city of Boston. Natick was first settled in 1651 by John Eliot and was officially incorporated in 1781. The name comes from the language of the Massachusetts Native American tribe and is commonly considered to mean "place of hills." The town is also home to Henry Wilson, a U.S. senator born in 1812 who became the eighteenth Vice President of the United States from 1873 to 1875. He lived most of his life in Natick as a shoemaker and schoolteacher. Many knew him as the "Natick Cobbler". Due to his deep connections with the town, his burial site is also located in Natick. Whether you're in the mood to stroll through halls gazing at fine art or catch a world-class performance, you won't be disappointed in Natick's many and diverse cultural attractions. Explore the beautiful fields, parks, courts and playgrounds that Natick has to offer when you visit us today.
