2025 Audi A6 Sportback e-tron
The longest all-electric range in the current Audi lineup.

The five-seat A6 Sportback e-tron is the first non-crossover Audi model built on the company’s Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture. Introduced last year, PPE is designed to enhance interior space, efficiency, and performance. As a result, the A6 Sportback e-tron boasts an available range approaching 400 miles, the longest of any Audi EV. This range comes without compromising performance, as an A6 Sportback e-tron with Quattro all-wheel drive can reach 60 mph from a standstill in 4.3 seconds. With standard rear-wheel drive, it can make the same dash in a still brisk 5.2 seconds.
This overview highlights the all-electric 2025 Audi A6 Sportback e-tron. The performance-focused S6 Sportback e-tron and the conventionally powered Audi A6 sedan are covered on their own separate pages.
Trims and Powertrains
Audi offers three versions of the A6 Sportback e-tron: Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige. All of them are offered with either single-motor rear-wheel drive (RWD) or dual-motor (one per axle) quattro all-wheel drive (AWD). With RWD, the A6 Sportback e-tron produces up to 362 horsepower (375 when using the launch control feature) and has a maximum range of 392 miles. The output increases to 422 horsepower (456 with launch control) in AWD-equipped editions, which are rated for 377 miles. Note that these range estimates reflect the use of optional 19-inch wheels.
All versions are powered by a 94.4 kWh battery built around an 800-volt system. Level 3/DC fast charging at 270 kW enables the A6 Sportback e-tron to charge from 10% to 80% in about 21 minutes. Cargo capacity ranges from 25.95 cubic feet behind the second row to 39.87 cubic feet with the back seats folded down.
Standard Features
The Premium certainly doesn’t sound like a base trim, given that it comes with leather upholstery, a panoramic glass sunroof with switchable transparency, a dynamic suspension, heated front seats, tri-zone automatic climate control, and a power liftgate. Its amenities also include LED exterior lighting, proximity keyless entry, an 11.9-inch Virtual Cockpit, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with power controls, heated power side mirrors (with auto-dimming and power-folding functions), sound-reducing front door glass, LED cabin lighting, wireless device charging, and 20-inch aero-design wheels with run-flat tires. The optional Convenience Package adds a heated steering wheel, heated rear outboard seats, cabin pre-conditioning, and additional driver aids (which are detailed below).
The Premium Plus gets the same equipment as the Premium trim with the Convenience Package, along with a head-up display, upgraded headlights, and enhanced LED cabin lighting. The Prestige adds an adaptive air suspension and power soft-closing doors.
Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology
The A6 Sportback e-tron’s long list of standard driver-assist technologies includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning with active assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. Adaptive cruise assist (adaptive cruise control with lane-centering guidance) and a surround-view monitor are included in the Premium Convenience Package and standard with the Premium Plus and Prestige trims. An array of airbags is standard on all, as are stability control, traction control, and a rearview monitor.
Infotainment and Connectivity
The A6 Sportback e-tron’s advanced infotainment system is built around a 14.5-inch touchscreen display that’s enhanced with wireless smartphone connectivity (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Audi connected services. A high-quality audio system and well-placed speakers are part of the system; the default sound unit is upgraded to a Bang & Olufsen product in the Premium Plus and Prestige. The Prestige also receives a 10.9-inch front passenger touchscreen, allowing the passenger to manage navigation and infotainment without distracting the driver.
